Zoom! In-Office Whitening

Zoom! Whitening is our most popular teeth whitening option and only requires one in-office appointment. This system uses light-activated hydrogen peroxide to remove brown and yellow staining. Patients can expect to see results 6-10 shades lighter.

From start to finish the Zoom! Whitening process takes about 3 hours. During this time, we isolate the gum tissue to protect it from hydrogen peroxide gel that is painted onto the teeth. The Zoom! Whitespeed light is then placed in front of the teeth for (4) fifteen-minute sessions.

After the last whitening session is complete, we remove the hydrogen peroxide from the teeth and the isolation material from the gums. You’ll leave our office with your brightest smile, custom whitening trays, and a touch-up kit so you can maintain your results at home!

What is Professional Teeth Whitening?

Professional teeth whitening is a cosmetic procedure that lightens the color of your teeth while removing stains and discoloration. The process involves the use of a high-concentration bleaching agent, typically hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide, which penetrates the tooth enamel and breaks down discolored molecules. At Cranberry Dental Studio, we offer a number of different in-office and at-home whitening options.

Preparing for Your Appointment

We recommend having your teeth cleaned shortly before any whitening appointment to ensure that your teeth are free from plaque, tartar, and other debris. If you are concerned about sensitivity you can brush your teeth with regular Sensodyne toothpaste for 2-3 weeks leading up to your appointment.

Your teeth will continue to lighten for 24 hours following your appointment. It is important to avoid any dark food/drinks (red wine, red sauce, coffee, black tea, dark soda, etc.) during that time as your teeth will be highly susceptible to staining. After 24 hours have passed you can resume your normal diet.

If you have questions about the process or about Cranberry Dental Studio, don’t hesitate to contact us! Our team of experienced dental professionals will assist you through every step of your teeth whitening journey.

Post-Whitening Care and Maintenance

To prolong the results of your teeth whitening treatment, it’s essential to maintain good oral hygiene practices. This includes brushing twice a day, flossing daily, and scheduling regular dental check-ups. Additionally, try to limit the consumption of staining agents such as coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco to minimize the risk of discoloration.

Now that you know a little more about professional teeth whitening, let’s take a look at the whitening methods offered by Cranberry Dental Studio: Kor Whitening and ZOOM! In-office Whitening.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Long Do ZOOM! Whitening Results Last?2023-06-08T14:01:48-04:00

The length of results will vary per person, the largest factor being diet. If you are a smoker or drink a lot of coffee, tea, soda, red wine, etc. your teeth will restain faster than someone who does not consume these things regularly. As a general rule, results typically last a year but some patients choose to use their at-home whitening trays (which are included with Zoom!) sooner.

Finding teeth whitening services in your local area should be a hassle-free process. Start by conducting research online and asking friends and family about recommendations. However, in order to feel confident in your final decision, it is best to contact the practice and talk to them about their teeth whitening process. Can I Eat and Drink Normally After Whitening?2023-06-08T13:59:13-04:00

Your teeth will be susceptible to staining for the first 24 hours so you should avoid eating or drinking foods dark in color (red wine, spaghetti sauce, coffee, black tea, dark soda, etc.) After 24 hours your teeth will start to settle into their final shade and you can resume your normal diet.

Will My Teeth Be Sensitive After Whitening?2023-06-08T13:57:22-04:00
